Lymphedema Smart Workshop
Stop worrying about your lymphedema risk and take action to protect yourself with confidence
But how do you even know where to start?
You’re overwhelmed by the sea of information available online. It’s exhausting and you’re left wondering “who can I trust?”
The fear of developing lymphedema is always in the back of your mind, but the endless restrictions you’ve read about feel frustrating and limiting. It’s unsettling to feel so out of control.
You want clarity, peace of mind, and the ability to enjoy life without constantly worrying about lymphedema. You know there has to be a better way to cut through all the noise and get the facts.
You’ve probably been doing your best to follow the “traditional advice” to avoid “triggering” lymphedema - don’t lift more than 10 pounds, limit your physical activity, no hot tubs/saunas, and no blood pressure measurements or needles in your at-risk arm. But these restrictive and out-of-date recommendations are still not enough to ease your worries.
The science surrounding lymphedema risk is still limited, and of the studies that do exist, many aren’t strong studies. Most recommendations surrounding lymphedema risk are also too simplistic, offering only a simple list of “do’s” and “don’ts.” Following these outdated recommendations can do more harm than good and leave your feeling powerless and disconnected from your normal life.
And then there’s the issue of focusing solely on swelling as the main symptom to watch for. Yes, swelling is one sign of lymphedema, but there are often earlier changes you might notice - if you knew what to look for. The "wait for swelling" approach identifies lymphedema at a later stage, making treatment more complex. What you really need is a proactive strategy to feel confident and in control.
You would participate in your favourite activities without hesitation.
You would move freely and confidently, knowing that you have the tools and knowledge to manage your lymphedema risk.
With a solid plan in place, you would be able to identify and respond quickly if any early lymphedema symptoms arise.
Dog-mom, dragon-boater, swimmer, gardener, aspiring potter and outdoor-lover.
And as a physiotherapist working in cancer rehab and lymphedema since 2008, I’ve spoken with hundreds of people who were really stressed about developing lymphedema after their cancer treatment.
I’m here to simplify the science, cut through the misconceptions, and give you the context you need to both manage your lymphedema risk and monitor for early signs.
Because, as a healthcare provider, I’ll be honest that I don’t think we’re doing a good job at setting you up for success.
In part, this is because there are huge gaps between what we know (i.e. “the science”), what we think we know (i.e. emerging science and clinical experience) and what we’re still learning (i.e. science to come.)
And to add to this, I see a lot of misinterpretation of the little science that currently exists about lymphedema risk.
For years, I have put this all together and taken a “big picture approach” to lymphedema risk reduction and monitoring. In my clinical practice, I have routinely taken the time to explain, in plain language, the information about lymphedema risk reduction so my clients could take back control of their day-to-day lives.
When I do this, I have witnessed a transformation from fear and confusion to clarity and confidence over and over again.
Wanting to be efficient and consistent with this education, I developed a pre-recorded workshop. I tested it with some of my clients by having them watch it first and then we used clinic time to answer questions.
It was a huge success!
After witnessing the benefits of this workshop with my own clients, I came to appreciate the positive impact this could have way beyond my clinic walls; those that didn’t have access to cancer rehab support where they lived, those that couldn’t afford in-person sessions, or those that just wanted information they could trust!
THIS is what the Lymphedema Smart Workshop is all about.
No more Googling.
No more stress.
No more unknowns.
Just a practical, evidence-informed workshop that gives you the knowledge and tools you need to confidently manage your lymphedema risk and systematically monitor for changes.
If this sounds like what you’ve been searching for, I welcome you here with open arms.
Warmly,
Beth

I know how overwhelming it can feel to manage your lymphedema risk—the constant worry, conflicting advice, and fear of missing something important.
But here’s the truth: you don’t have to live in fear.
You have the power to take control, reduce your risk, and move forward with confidence.
Imagine the peace of mind that comes from knowing exactly what to watch for and how to act when needed, without relying on restrictive or fear-based advice. Instead, you’ll be equipped with the right knowledge and tools, freeing you to do the things you love without constant worry.
Taking this step is about more than just managing your lymphedema risk—it’s about reclaiming control and freedom in your life.
You deserve to feel informed, empowered, and confident in your ability to manage your lymphatic health.
Let’s shed the uncertainty and bring in the clarity and confidence so you can focus on your future and what matters most.
I recognize that you may not be able to attend 1:1 cancer rehab appointments, but understanding how to manage your lymphedema risk and monitor for changes is really important. You may not have a facility near you, you may not have the time or funds to attend multiple sessions, or you may not have the energy for more appointments. This workshop will teach you the knowledge and skills you'd get from 1:1 cancer rehab sessions (and even more!) but in an economical online workshop.
The workshop is set up in a flexible format so that you can move back and forth through the material at your own pace. In order to get the most from this program, material is delivered through educational videos, PDF handouts, and a downloadable written workbook.
I have created this workshop to be more accessible and affordable than in-person cancer rehab sessions. This workshop offer lymphedema risk reduction information in significant detail, often more than we have time for in clinic, as well as extensive handouts and added support. Added together, this workshop and all the added bonus is valued at $485 CAD, but I am offering it to you in this format for the very low cost of $47 CAD.
Unfortunately, because of your instant access to this information, I do not offer refunds.
